HJIRO

Streetwear Brand

Jul 2023 - Jun 2025
Los Angeles, CA

OVERVIEW
HJIRO is a portmanteau, representing the clothing brand as a combination of the taste, ideas, and experiences between Hjork Ocampo and myself, Izzy Resurreccion.

HJIRO was a passion project consisting of 3 capsules spanning a 2 year period. With each drop, Disruptive Roots, In Technicolor, and Machine Relief, we interpret our collective experience of  growing up in the earlier days of the internet. This is reflected in the grunge and cyber-core aesthetics we take inspiration from. This includes using older-tech like handycams and digi-cams to shoot all promotional material, also parodying ideas from the pre-internet era.

CAPSULE 01 Disruptive Roots
Promotional Content - Video
5 introductory vignettes to share our brand vibe and atmosphere.

Promotional Content - Image
Mix of single image and carousel promotion on Instagram.

Product Line-Up
CAPSULE 01 consisted of 3 T-Shirt Designs, 3 Posters, and 3 Stickers all designed by me.

CAPSULE 02  In Technicolor
Promotional Content - Video
CAPSULE 02 had one teaser video parodying the bouncing DVD sleep screen.

Promotional Content - Photo
A large selling-point for us was the quality of the blank we chose compared to most smaller brands.

Product Line-Up
In Technicolor yielded a 30+ SKU increasing our product line 3-fold as we introduced varied colors of the product.

CAPSULE 03 Machine Relief
Promotional Content - Video
4 promotional videos of our highest production yet. Meant to emulate the listlessness of the corporate machine.

Promotional Content - Photo
03 leans heavily into old computer and frutiger aero aesthetics as a core focus.

Product Line-Up
Machine Relief yielded less SKUs than In Technicolor, trading in quantity for quality pieces.
